This Calls for the Willhelm Scream
I just watched the trailer for the new Sherlock Holmes movie and I can't decide if it's awesome or horrible. (The title of this post comes from the song by Possible Oscar.)

I'm far from obsessive about him, but I've always liked the character and the stories. I think what scares me the most is the uncanny resemblance to the League of Extraordinary Gentleman movie.

LoXG: yes, that. URGH. Getting Holmes wrong in exactly the way the movie of LoXG gets the comic LoXG wrong.

It's the reasoning that bugs me: "Hey, LoEG was so successful, let's do Sherlock Holmes the same way!"
